The jungle safari pack covers 932 sq. km of dense forests, grasslands, and water sources, allowing visitors to experience an authentic trip to one of the best parks in South Asia.
During your 2-night Chitwan jungle safari, there are plenty of adventures awaiting you: be it elephant safari or jeep safari, serene canoe rides down the rapids of River Rapti, jungle walks, or bird-watching—all under the watchful guidance of expert naturalists.

Detailed Itinerary of Chitwan Highlight Tour
The 2-night tour to Chitwan starts as one enjoys a scenic drive from Kathmandu or Pokhara to the lush lowlands around Chitwan National Park. Upon reaching the lodge, one receives guests. will be served traditional drinks and receive a briefing about the lodge's stay. Guests check into their rooms and freshen up before sitting down for a tasty lunch featuring local cuisine.
In the afternoon, there is a chance to visit the nearby Tharu village for culture, where guests get to learn about the culture, lifestyle, and architecture of this indigenous community. As sunset falls on the riverside view, it is time to unwind and soak up the stunning view of the Rapti River — an excellent time for taking many pictures and relaxing.
Later in the day, there will be another Tharu cultural presentation that highlights the famous Tharu stick dance, which represents their culture. Dinner at the lodge will mark the end of the first day of this unforgettable 2-night, 3-day Chitwan jungle safari journey.
Your day starts at dawn with a gentle wake-up call, and then you will have your breakfast at the jungle lodge to set you for the adventurous day ahead. Start your morning with a smooth birdwatching tour with a trained naturalist; Chitwan is home to over 500 bird species, which makes it a paradise for birdwatchers.
Then, enjoy a lazy canoe ride down the Rapti River with several painted marsh crocodiles, gharials, and many varieties of river birds to keep you company. Continue with a jungle walk in the company of a guide, sinking into the dense wilderness of Chitwan National Park itself. A visit to the Elephant Breeding Centre will give you insight into conservation activities and allow you to view baby elephants up close.
Return for a delicious lunch at the lodge, then hit another adventure with a jeep safari (or optional elephant-back safari) through the heart of this park. During this trip, you will have the best opportunity to spot the one-horned rhinoceros, wild boar, deer, and, if lucky, the elegantly elusive Royal Bengal Tiger.
Then you arrive back at the jungle lodge to relax and dine, reminiscing and wrapping the day around your unforgettable wildlife encounters during this exciting 3-day Chitwan jungle adventure.
On the last day in Chitwan, wake up and have breakfast. After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer toward the tourist bus stop to travel to Kathmandu or Pokhara; if you are flying back, we will take you to the airport. By Anna Smith(United Kingdom (UK))April 7, 2026 great time at ChitwanThe accommodation was nice and the food was excellent. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the pick-up in Pokhara with drop-off in Kathmandu was very convenient. One note of constructive feedback is regarding the elephant breeding centre, which I personally feel should be avoided due to animal welfare concerns. However, I appreciate that this is not related to the company or guides, who were transparent and informative throughout. Overall had a great time on this trip, especially seeing lots of rhinos was the highlight.Date of Experience: April 03, 2026 -
